Anatech duplexers are highly-customized products and are generally employed to combine receive and transmit channels so a single antenna can be used for both functions, as well as splitting the receive, and transmit signal coming from the antenna. They are available with operating frequencies of 1 MHz to 10 GHz and in 2 to 15 sections, isolation as high as 100 dB, and RF power handling ability of 500 W or more. Duplexers designed to match the specifications of duplexers from other manufacturers are available as well. Anatech duplexers can be manufactured with connectors such as SMA, N type, BNC, 7/16, TNC, PC mount, and in Surface Mount style. Technologies used are SAW, Cavity, LC, Crystal, Ceramic, distributed Elaments, and mix of technologies. Special packaging is also available to meet customer-specified mechanical requirements.
Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) Duplexers use the piezoelectric effect to provide stable frequencies with sharp cut-off characteristics in a very small package size. The insertion loss of SAW duplexers varies from 1.8 dB to 6 dB, and they can provide high isolation greater than 50dB. Maximum RF input power is 1 W. SAW duplexers are available in surface-mount packages and their size depends on operating frequency range and overall performance but ranges from 3 x 3 mm to 30 x 15 x 2.5 mm.
